What a great performance from our team of gymnasts.
A very long day from 7:30am to 8pm saw over 1400 gymnasts take part in the Gymstart Challenge 2020 in th Nation Indoor Area, Dublin.
The first session of the day saw Alex O’Toole, Keeley Stafford, Holly Walker, Charlotte Ralph, Michaela Martin, Amy O’Toole,Shona Nugent produce good routines on the floor and the vault. Holly won a 5th place, Highly commended. Michaela was awarded 4th place highly commended.
Next in the arena we had Callum Bery, Josh Curran, Jessica Loughrey and Alicja Rybak. Great performaces on floor and vault saw Alicja awarded 6th Highly commended, Callum a 4th place highly commended, Josh a 2nd place silver medal and Jessica a 1st place Gold medal.
The 3rd session saw Nina Gneza,Hannah Brauders,Layla Hayden,Rita Correia Nunes,Shyne Leonard,Niamh Kenny,Angelika Kawa,Caitlin O’Loughlin,Tara Hudson,Emily Doyle Weston,Isla McEvoy perform on floor and vault. After some outstanding performaces Hannah was awarded 1st place gold medal, Layla 2nd place Silver medal,Rita 3rd place Bronze medal, Shyne 2nd place Silver medal,Angelika 1st place Gold medal,Emily 3rd place Bronze ,edal and Isla 1st place Gold medal.
The final session of the day saw Mollie Sheridan, Tehya Byrne and Mia Nolan Doyle compete on the floor and vault. Great effort by the three gymnasts saw them just outside the awards.
All the gymnast performed vey well, for some it was the first competion and enjoyed the experience.
